The Laugh of Hope Project's main mission is to encourage all people, everywhere, to laugh more and laugh fully. To that end, we make appearances at nursing homes, schools, charity events, community events, and other locations. We start with a short (15-30) minute program called "The Hope of Laughter" and then move on to teaching people the whys and (if necessary) the hows of laughter!
All programs are FREE for non-profits and community organizations in New England, Philadelphia, and NYC (other locations may incur travel charges, but sponsorships may be available). For more information please contact us.
Laughter lowers blood pressure. Laughter stimulates organs. Laughter soothes tension. Laughter releases endorphins. Laughter connects us with others. Laughter is contagious. Laughter is FREE! Laughter is something we can all do in our own special way. Laughter brings hope to everyone.
Alika Hope founded the award-winning music and social justice organization The Ray of Hope Project in 2013. People (even strangers) often commented on Alika's loud and long laugh. Instead of being embarrassed about it, she decided to own it! In 2019, she began The Laugh of Hope Project, an organization dedicated to spreading the message of the universal health benefits of laughter.
